Serbian tennis player Olga Danilović and her doubles partner Anastasia Potapova failed to advance to the round of 16 at the Australian Open.
Danilović and Potapova withdrew from their second-round match against the Taiwanese–Latvian pair Su-Wei Hsieh and Jelena Ostapenko before it began.
The match was scheduled to be played today in Melbourne at 6:40 a.m., and Potapova played a third-round singles match overnight, in which she lost to Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets, 6:7, 6:7.
Hsieh and Ostapenko will face the winners of the match between the Czech–Slovenian pair Marie Bouzková and Andreja Klepač and the American–German tandem Sofia Kenin and Laura Siegemund in the round of 16 in doubles.
Olga Danilović thus ended her participation at the Australian Open, having been eliminated in the singles competition in the second round after a loss to American Coco Gauff.
