Crvena zvezda will enter the year 2026 with a new coach, as the club management has agreed on all terms with Dejan Stanković, who said yes, Telegraf learns.
Stanković recently received a dismissal at Moscow’s Spartak; he led Zvezda from 2019 to 2022 and won three titles and two Serbian Cups.
He will replace Vladan Milojević on the Zvezda bench, for whom the duel against Mladost Lučani (Saturday 15:30) will be the last in this mandate. Interestingly, Milojević was succeeded by Stanković the previous time as well, upon his departure from the club.
The new-old coach should report for duty at the beginning of January, as the start of preparations is already scheduled for the 3rd. Zvezda, let us remind you, expects matches with Malmö and Celta within the Europa League on January 22 and 29.
As for the Super League, before the last round of the autumn part of the championship, Zvezda trails Partizan by four points, while in February, they will play the quarter-finals of the Cup.
