Angelina Topić is in the high jump final at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

The Serbian record holder and current European vice-champion cleared 1.92 meters on her first attempt, which was enough to enter the fight for medals. It turned out in the end that 1.88 on the first attempt was also enough for the final, and as many as 16 competitors made it there.

Angelina did not have a single mistake at the Olympic Stadium in the capital of Japan. On her first attempt, she cleared 1.83, then 1.88, and finally the aforementioned 1.92 meters. This is very important because she did not have additional fatigue, so she enters the fight for medals rested.

This is her second time reaching the final at a world championship. In Budapest two years ago, she finished in seventh place.

Marija Vuković, a representative of Montenegro, also qualified for the final, clearing 1.92 on her third attempt.
