A terrorist attack has taken place at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, eastern Germany. According to German media, a driver deliberately drove a car into people at the Christmas market. At least 60 people have been injured in the attack, and one death has been confirmed.

As Bild reports, there are between 60-80 injured, and one death has been confirmed. According to media reports, the driver drove into the crowd causing panic.

The market has been immediately closed, and organizers have called on visitors to leave the city center. The driver has been arrested, and police are searching for possible explosives in that part of the city, Bild reports. The Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt, Reiner Erich Haseloff (CDU), is on his way to the scene of the accident.
