Good news for all of our kids who live in America and love football! The European, World, and Serbian champion, Red Star, will organize football camps for children aged 5-18 this summer in as many as four cities – Chicago, Milwaukee, New Jersey, and Akron!

Miloš Bajić, the owner and first coach of the “Red Star Chicago” football club, and the organizer of the “red and white” camps in the USA points out that the best coaching/training team of the “Red Star” youth school will come from Belgrade especially because of these camps to do.

-Last time we organized the Red Star camp only in Chicago, and this year we will train children in four cities. In addition to Chicago, we also go to Milwaukee, New Jersey, and Akron, Ohio. The first one starts in Akron from August 12-16, on the grounds next to the Church of St. Michael the Archangel. We are in Chicago from August 14-18, followed by Milwaukee (fields next to the Church of St. Sava) and New Jersey (St. John the Baptist Church in Paterson), where we will train from August 21-25. The camps last five days, from 9 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon, and the children will work according to the same program as in Serbia and Belgrade, Bajić told the Serbian Times.

He adds that all children attending the camp will receive equipment and Red Star jerseys, and the best among them will be invited to Belgrade, to try out with their peers, and perhaps sign their first professional contract.

–Boys and girls aged 5-18 can apply, and it is best to apply through our website www.fcredstarchicago.com. We expect at the camp those children who already have football experience or are training somewhere, as well as those who are just starting. We have appropriate programs for everyone, based on age and level of prior knowledge. We have experienced, top trainers from the Red Star Youth School who work with all categories of children. Since we expect a large turnout of parents and children, we ask all those interested to register for the camp as soon as possible.

Bajić underlines that, apart from the opportunity to learn new football skills, the children will have the chance to socialize and get to know each other, to develop team spirit, which is what they insist on in football camps and the Red Star school.

-At the last camp, of course, there were primarily children from our diaspora, but there were also a lot of small football players who are not from the Balkans. We had participants from as many as 11 different countries, from all over the world. Red Star is still a big brand, both in Europe and America, and many people want their children to go through such a good football school, which has produced many aces. For our people, Red Star is also a symbol of Serbia, a national brand, recognizable everywhere.

-As far as our children are concerned, this is a good opportunity for them to socialize with their peers who come from the same area. That they remember this camp not only for football but for it to remain in their memory as a place where they met friends for life. Miloš Bajić from “Red Star Chicago” points out that they should also renew their knowledge of their mother tongue, the language of their parents, and grandparents, and reveal how this year the choice fell on the mentioned four cities:
