The Serbian team of young informaticians won three medals, two silver and one bronze, as well as an honorable mention at the Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics in Larnaca, Cyprus.
Silver medals were won by Lazar Nikić, a student of the Šabac Grammar School, and Irina Stanišić, a student of the First Kragujevac Grammar School, while the bronze medal was won by Veljko Vitkovac, a student of “Jovan Popović” Elementary School in Kruševac, now a student of the Mathematical Grammar School, and the honorable mention was received by Mihajlo Janičić, a student of “Starina Novak” Elementary School in Belgrade, now a student of the Mathematical Grammar School, according to the statement from the Society of Mathematicians of Serbia.
A total of 37 competitors from nine Balkan countries participated in the competition, which began on October 24th and ends tomorrow.
