Danilo Vasilić, a young Serb who grew up in America and spent the last few years living in Dubai, decided two months ago to return to Serbia and settle in Belgrade. And on the very first day — complete shock!
As he shared in a viral TikTok video, he tried to find a seat in a Belgrade café around 1:00 PM — but he couldn’t find a single free spot. At first, he thought it was a coincidence, but the same situation repeated day after day. That is why he decided to ask Belgraders publicly:
“I don’t understand anything here!”

“Can someone explain to me what you people in Belgrade do all day? I recently moved from Dubai, and I grew up in America, where people actually work. I go to a café around 1:00 PM — ‘bro,’ there isn’t a single free seat! Does anyone here even have a job?” Danilo added that he had heard the average salary is around 1,000 euros, so he put the pieces together: “I think I’m starting to understand what is actually going on here.”
