LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets guard, was fined for inappropriate language.

Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball has received bad news from the NBA league, as he has been fined $100,000 for inappropriate language.

“No homo” was part of a statement that the NBA league was unwilling to “overlook” and punished him severely, as Shams Charania reports.

As a reminder, Nikola Jokic did the same thing in 2018, and the NBA league fined him four times less, or $25,000.

“No homo, but he’s longer than you expect,” Jokic commented on the wingspan of Wendell Carter Jr., former Chicago Bulls player and now Orlando Magic.

LaMelo Ball is the younger brother of Lonzo Ball, a former great talent and a brilliant point guard. Ball has been playing for the Hornets since 2020 and is currently averaging 29.6 points on 44% shooting.
