US President Donald Trump spoke today after the NATO summit in The Hague about “peace successes” around the world, mentioning the Western Balkans.
“We also stopped Serbia. It was preparing…”, said the President of the United States of America, addressing the public, as reported by Al Jazeera Balkans.

Trump mentioned Serbia in the context of alleged peace successes worldwide, which, as he emphasized, were achieved in the past period. He did not specify when he stopped Serbia, nor whom Serbia was possibly planning to attack.
Trump also stated in mid-June that during his first term, he prevented a conflict between Serbia and the so-called Kosovo. He also emphasized that he would correct everything that, according to him, former US President Joe Biden “ruined with stupid decisions.”
You Promised to end the Ukraine War in 24 Hours. Why haven’t you done it yet?

“During my first term, Serbia and Kosovo were in serious conflict, as had been the case for decades. And that long-standing dispute was on the verge of escalating into war. I stopped it. Biden ruined long-term chances with some very stupid decisions, but I will fix it again,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on June 15 this year.
A day later, Christopher Hill, former US ambassador to Serbia, emphasized that he does not, however, expect the US to intervene in solving problems in the Western Balkans, as it did previously.
🚨 LMAO! Marco Rubio absolutely LOST his composure in the background as Trump is asked about NATO Secretary General calling him "daddy." 🤣

This includes the “dispute between Belgrade and Priština,” he added in an interview with Radio Free Europe, stating that the countries in the Balkans must start solving their own problems.
“The time when one Balkan country could come to us and complain about another Balkan country is over,” Hill said, adding that this does not mean the Balkans are not important to the US.
