Following Miloš Pavlović’s statement that he was attacked last night in the “Studentski Grad” dormitory, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has ordered the Third Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office to urgently take all actions within its jurisdiction and, in cooperation with the police, identify and prosecute the individuals who attacked Miloš Pavlović and Vladimir Balać and inflicted bodily injuries upon them.
“I was subjected to a brutal physical attack. My friends and I, simply because we were sitting peacefully in a cafe in New Belgrade, near Studenjak. I got hit with cans and punches to the face, stomach, and back. Vladimir Balać and Luka Lalošević also got hit everywhere. They knocked us to the ground, I somehow managed to get up and leave. I hope the authorities will identify the culprits and that they will be punished,” said Miloš Pavlović.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also commented on the incident.
“Better ‘Ćaci’ than ‘Nazi’! The state will no longer tolerate violence. Serbia will win,” Vučić wrote on Instagram.
Although the footage does not clearly show what happened, Miloš Pavlović was seen leaving the scene. Afterward, he addressed the public from the Emergency Center in a wheelchair, accompanied by Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar, who claims Pavlović was hit on the head and has consequences.
Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar stated that the students have “injuries to their backs, stomach, and abdomen.”
“His friend is currently undergoing diagnostics, a CT scan is being performed. The boy received a blow in the kidney area where he had previously undergone surgery. For now, only two diagnostic tests have been done,” Lončar said.
