The President of the United States Donald Trump congratulated Kosovo on the 18th anniversary of independence, emphasizing that “the United States remains unwavering in its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo.”
“As our relations continue to deepen, we look forward to expanding our partnership, including increasing trade and investment that foster shared prosperity,” the letter from Trump addressed to Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani states.
The letter also notes that the United States is ready to work “shoulder to shoulder with Kosovo in advancing peace and stability, for our mutual benefit.”
“I want to thank you and all the citizens of Kosovo for your continued support for the efforts of the United States to address global challenges in Ukraine, Gaza, and elsewhere. I also welcome Kosovo as one of the founders of the Peace Committee, whose goal is to make the world safer, stronger, and more prosperous,” Trump’s letter states.
Trump also noted that this anniversary is “an opportunity to reflect on Kosovo’s progress,” and that he looks forward to “even stronger cooperation and partnership.”
