Unrest and police intervention followed the session of the Belgrade City Assembly. Đorđe Miketić, an activist from the Most Ostaje group, told the media that Dejan Atanacković, Nebojša Petrović, and two other activists were arrested.

Earlier, opposition representatives obstructed the assembly’s proceedings by standing in front of the speaker’s podium and the presiding members’ seats while holding Serbian flags and continuously playing the national anthem. Meanwhile, the ruling party representatives acted as if nothing was happening—just like members of the Serbian National Assembly on Monday—and proceeded with voting. The session was completed within an hour and a half, with all points on the agenda approved.

Clashes between police and citizens occurred after the assembly members left the hall. Riot police intervened, arresting several demonstrators, who were taken away in police vans, according to reports from the scene.

There are suspicions that those arrested were involved in an earlier incident and altercation between security personnel and citizens, during which the entrance was pelted with eggs and red paint.

Unrest erupted in front of the Belgrade Assembly building shortly before noon. According to an N1 reporter, a scuffle broke out between gathered citizens and security personnel, followed by a police intervention. The tension lasted for about 20 minutes before subsiding, with police withdrawing from the scene.

One woman was injured, according to FoNet.

The confrontation began when protesters attempted to remove barricades, prompting security personnel to jump over the barriers and physically engage with the crowd.

At one point, a serious physical altercation occurred. A man was seen falling onto the pavement, and it appeared that a security officer was sprayed—possibly with pepper spray or tear gas. The barriers were completely dislodged.

Security guards were also doused in red paint.

Although the situation calmed down briefly, tensions reignited when activists surrounded police vehicles, trying to prevent them from transporting the arrested individuals and blocking an ambulance from assisting an injured private security guard.

Earlier, protesters hurled eggs and red paint at the Belgrade City Administration building on Kolarčeva Street, where the assembly sessions are held. N1 reporters noted that city officials were recording activists from the windows of the building using their phones.
