The number of casualties in the fire at the Retirement Home in Tuzla has increased to 13, after another woman died in the University Clinical Center (UKC), writes Euronews.ba
Last night at 11:01 PM, the patient who was hospitalized at the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Reanimatology died, it was confirmed by UKC Tuzla, Srna reports.
The current number of hospitalized patients at UKC Tuzla is 13.
“There are currently three patients at the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, one of whom is on a ventilator. Six patients are hospitalized at the Clinic for Lung Diseases, one police officer and five users of the services of the Retirement Home in Tuzla. Three patients are hospitalized at the Clinic for Internal Diseases, in a stable health condition. One patient is hospitalized at the Clinic for Urology, in a stable health condition,” stated UKC Tuzla.
The fire broke out on Tuesday evening on the seventh floor of the Retirement Home in Tuzla. More than 30 people were injured, including police officers and firefighters, in addition to the Home’s users.
The director of the Retirement Home in Tuzla, Mirsad Bakalović, submitted his irrevocable resignation after the fire.
A four-day mourning period was declared in Tuzla yesterday.
