In a major operation by the Belgrade police yesterday, L.M. (40) and K.G. (31) were deprived of liberty on suspicion that they brutally beat French national S.A. (43).
The attack took place on March 13 on the popular promenade near Beton Hala.
Sustained life-threatening injuries
According to information from the investigation, the French national sustained severe bodily injuries that are life-threatening during the attack.
He was urgently hospitalized, and doctors are still fighting for his recovery due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained to the head and body.
By order of the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (OJT) in Belgrade, the suspects have been detained for up to 48 hours.
L.M. and K.G. will be brought in for questioning within the legal deadline, where they will defend themselves against charges of causing severe bodily harm. The motive for the attack on the French national has not yet been officially announced, and the investigation is ongoing.
