These days, Serbs have waited after many years to get their man, a representative in an important position in Washington, when John Jovanović was appointed executive director of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
Before that, we learned that a certain Marko Elez, also originally from Serbia, is one of Elon Musk’s main people in the Department of Government Efficiency, and there are still speculations that Rod Blagojević, the former governor of Illinois, could be appointed US ambassador to Belgrade.
Although their functions have no direct connection with Serbian-American relations, hopes have grown that individuals of Serbian origin in the administration could be of help to Belgrade and Serbia.

And while we Serbs wait for one of our people to soar again to the heights of American politics, it is good to know that there are Americans, more precisely American women, in the administration who are fighting for our interests.
Namely, Kingsley Wilson, the new deputy press secretary of the Pentagon, once wrote on social networks: “Make Kosovo Serbia Again!”
And so… Until we find a new Rod or John, Kingsley will do!
