TRAGEDY AT NIŠ AIRPORT: Corporal Luka Stojanović (21) died during regular training jumps!

During the execution of regular training jumps, at the “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” military airport in Niš, a member of the 63rd Parachute Brigade, Corporal Luka Stojanović, died, the Ministry of Defense announced.

Corporal Stojanović was born on July 24, 2004, in Niš, and had been serving in the Serbian Armed Forces, as a paratrooper in the 63rd Parachute Brigade, since August 1, 2024.

“Military police bodies came to the scene, and the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Niš was informed about the event in accordance with the law. The investigation is underway. The Chief of the General Staff has formed a commission tasked with determining all the circumstances of this extraordinary event,” the ministry announced.

The Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović sent telegrams of condolence to the family.
