It was a fantastic night for Serbian basketball players in the NBA, as Nikola Jokić destroyed Portland in a historic win for Denver, while in Oklahoma his namesake, Nikola Topić, also shined, scoring nine points along with three rebounds and two assists in 11 minutes on the court in Oklahoma’s 105–86 victory over Brooklyn.
One of the world’s greatest basketball talents has begun to show his potential following his return to the court after a difficult period behind him.
He first recovered from a serious injury that kept him sidelined for the entire previous season, and then at the start of the new campaign battled testicular cancer.
The Serbian basketball player managed to defeat the toughest opponent in life, before making a stylish return to the court.

Oklahoma fans had long waited to see Topić in action, and that moment finally came after more than a year of waiting, as this was his first home game. He was welcomed with standing ovations from the entire arena, which made the moment especially emotional for him.
He spent 11 minutes on the floor and recorded nine points (4-of-6 shooting), along with three rebounds and two assists.
He produced several extremely elegant plays, including drives to the basket where he stayed in the air longer and delayed the shot, delighting both the crowd and his teammates on the court and the bench — including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning NBA MVP, who was left amazed and in disbelief after one such move by the Serbian.
Jared McCain was Oklahoma’s top scorer with 20 points, while Chet Holmgren added 15. For Brooklyn, Michael Porter Jr. stood out with 22 points and nine rebounds.
