A young man (18) and a minor girl (16), both citizens of Serbia, were arrested on Sunday in St. Gallen, Switzerland, after breaking into two garages. The suspects were arrested while attempting to flee from the Swiss police.
On Sunday morning, March 15, 2026, cantonal police patrols from St. Gallen in the town of Sargans arrested a man and a young woman suspected of having broken into two garages shortly before that, the Swiss police announced.
In the night between Saturday and Sunday, a police patrol noticed a car with two broken windows at a garage. This was an alarm to search the surrounding area more thoroughly, with drones and police dogs. It was determined that the perpetrators had already fled the scene.
Shortly after that, a break-in at another garage was noticed in a nearby street. Searching the scene, police officers noticed a young couple attempting to flee the scene across the roof.
With the help of drones and police dogs, the duo was located and both persons were taken into custody.
