The six-member team of the Republic of Serbia won six medals at the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO), which is being held from May 3 to 8 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Silver medals were won by Vladimir Lukić, Nina Šušić, and Vanja Jelovac, while bronze medals went to Stefan Šebez, Petar Banović, and Pavle Damjanović.

All medal winners are students of the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade.
The organizers state that this year’s competition was very demanding, which makes the result of the Serbian team even more significant.
The team winner of the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad is the team from Turkey.
The leaders of the team of the Republic of Serbia were Miljan Knežević from the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Belgrade and Teodor fon Burg from the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade.
In a competition of 11 countries from Southeast Europe, 13 guest countries, and a second team from Greece, a total of 148 contestants participated in the competition.
