Students in blockade, who are running in the elections as “Student List – Students Are Winning,” announced this evening that they know the authorities are recording their meetings and are preparing to arrest students ahead of Thursday’s final rally in Slavija, adding that the authorities can do all of this, but will find nothing illegal. “We also know what they are preparing for us during the final week of the election campaign. The dirtiest lies, the biggest setups, and even harsher repression against those who have been on the streets for two years. So let us tell them right away: record us. Listen. Listen again. You will find nothing illegal,” the students announced on the social network X.

At their student meetings, they said, they do not make any arrangements that violate the law, do nothing illegal, and are conducting their campaign legally, as they claim, with nothing to hide.

“For two years, Informer and other pro-regime media outlets, together with the country’s highest officials themselves, have portrayed us as hooligans, criminals, and enemies of our own country. They invented plans for us, attributed other people’s violence to us, and tried to accuse us of everything that came to mind,” the statement added.

In their assessment, the authorities have now gone even further, as a story is being spread that they are allegedly planning to kidnap one of their own colleagues and then blame the authorities for his kidnapping.

LISTEN IN ON US, AND YOU’LL HEAR THAT STUDENTS ARE WINNING! We know they are recording our meetings. We know that arrests of students are being prepared ahead of the major rally in Slavija. We also know what they are preparing for us during the final week of the election campaign. The dirtiest lies, the biggest setups, and even harsher repression against those who have been on the streets for two years.

So let us tell them right away: record us. Listen. Listen again. You will find nothing illegal.

At our meetings, we do not make any arrangements that violate the law. We do nothing illegal. We are conducting our campaign legally, and we have nothing to hide.

For two years, Informer and other pro-regime media outlets, together with the country’s highest officials themselves, have portrayed us as hooligans, criminals, and enemies of our own country. They invented plans for us, attributed other people’s violence to us, and tried to accuse us of everything that came to mind.

And now they have gone even further. A story is already being spread that we are allegedly planning to kidnap one of our own colleagues and then blame the authorities for his kidnapping. We do not see this as just another ordinary spin. We see it as a direct threat.

Because what if one of our colleagues disappears tomorrow? What if they lock him up somewhere, nobody knows where, and then announce on national television: “Well, we told you they organized everything themselves”?

Where will our colleague be then? Who will know what happened to him?

That is why we are speaking about this now. So that tomorrow nobody can say they did not hear.

We also have information that new so-called documentaries are being prepared to smear us on national television. They are preparing new arrests, new threats, and new lies. Everything they have used to attack us over the past two years, they are now trying to cram into the final seven days of the campaign.

You will not scare us. You will not silence us. You will not force us to give up.

You can record every one of our meetings, edit films, invent conspiracies, and threaten arrests. You have had enough time over the past two years to realize that it does not work.

And since you have been listening to us so much, you could have learned something, too. For example, what democracy is, how free and fair elections are organized, and what the struggle for power looks like without threats, blackmail, and violence.

All of it is in vain. Students are winning!

They said they would not be intimidated, silenced, or forced to give up.

“You can record every one of our meetings, edit films, invent conspiracies, and threaten arrests. You have had enough time over the past two years to realize that it does not work,” the statement added.

They told the authorities that, since they had been listening to them so much, they could have learned something, such as what democracy is, how free and fair elections are organized, and what the struggle for power looks like without threats, blackmail, and violence.

“All of it is in vain. Students Are Winning,” the statement concluded.
