Numerous murals, graffiti, and other messages written all over North Mitrovica and Zvečan were painted over on the night between Saturday and Sunday with the assistance of the Kosovo police. Just that Saturday, a rally was held in North Mitrovica supported by the leaders of the Serbian List, as part of a counter-rally against blockades that were organized on the same day in more than 70 cities in Serbia.
These events, as well as yesterday’s conference of the President of Serbia, who announced measures for a “significant price reduction”, were the reason for the announcement of Belgrade students.
“Discounts have also arrived in Kosovska Mitrovica. Why didn’t you defend those graffiti? Were you busy with the rally against non-existent blockades or is it just a new price?”, the students ask.
Стигла снижења и у Косовску Митровицу. Што нисте те графите бранили? Да нисте били заузети скупом против непостојећих блокада или је то само нова цена? pic.twitter.com/YqSxqadqjF

Another message from the students regarding the painting over of graffiti in the North of Kosovo was published on the account of the students in the blockade of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade.
The students published two photos – one of a painted-over Serbian flag painted on a retaining wall near Zubin Potok and another of police officers standing in front of the drawn tricolor.
“Will the ‘heroes’ from Liman go to Zubin Potok to ‘return the tricolor’ and will the Serbian police then guard the tricolor in Kosovo and Metohija day and night? Or are both of them busy carrying out violence against their own people?”, the students ask.
This message refers to the events two weeks ago, when a police cordon guarded the wall on the facade of a building in the Novi Sad settlement of Liman, after SNS activists had previously drawn Serbian tricolors.
However, during the drawing of the tricolor, two residents of Novi Sad were attacked – one of them was beaten when he tried to record the beating of another resident of Novi Sad by SNS activists, after he had kicked their can of paint.
Because of this attack, a protest was then organized in support of the beaten neighbors.
