The villages of Bajina Bašta continue to live thanks to young and capable people, and some of them show that they are truly worthy of admiration because they do not hesitate to roll up their sleeves and help their neighbors. Twenty-three-year-old Marijana Vučićević from the village of Gvozdac is one such hard-working young person, and she is the first to open an Administrative Services Office that is at the service of the local population.

Aware of the numerous challenges faced by locals when it comes to paperwork, subsidies and administrative procedures, Marijana took the initiative and created a space where farmers can get the necessary information and support.

This office represents a bridge between the rural population and the bureaucratic system, enabling faster and more efficient processing of requests, applications and other administrative tasks.

“I saw how much our people struggle with paperwork, how much time they waste waiting and in uncertainty. I knew there had to be a way to help them, to make that part of the job easier for them, so they could focus on what they do best, working on their farms. We are at their service when it comes to administration, but we also deal with livestock registration,” Marijana Vučićević tells RINA.

The opening of this office in the village of Rogačica has already been met with enthusiasm from the local population. Farmers now have a place where they can get advice on legal and economic issues, as well as information on incentives and subsidies that can help them improve production. Many locals already feel relief.

“Until now, I had to take every paper to the city, and that takes up my whole day. A lot of things were not clear to me, and now, thanks to Marijana and this office, I can finish everything here in the village. This is a huge thing for us,” says Milan Petrović, a long-time farmer from Rogačica.

His neighbor Dragica Marković, a hard-working farmer who deals with livestock, agrees with him.

“Sometimes it was difficult for me to even understand all those regulations, I was often afraid that I would make a mistake. Now I know that I can come here and everything will be explained to me clearly and simply,” says Dragica.

Young Marijana has become a symbol of the struggle for a better position for farmers in this area in the Bajina Bašta villages, and her initiative shows how much individual dedication and effort can contribute to the community.

“This is more than a job for me – it’s a way to give back to my village and the people who live here. I believe that together we can create better living and working conditions,” Marijana says with a smile.

Her office in the village of Rogačica is not just an administrative center – it is a beacon of hope and support for all those who are fighting to preserve and improve life in the countryside.
