While a protest was being held against the confiscation of the sports hall from Serbian children and youth, the Kosovo Police and plainclothes inspectors raided the premises of the National Employment Service of the Republic of Serbia in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.

As Euronews Serbia’s reporter states, at the time of the raid, employees of the institution were in the building. Along with the police and inspectors, municipal workers operating within the Kosovo system entered the premises and immediately changed the lock on the entrance door.

Petar Petković, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, also confirmed that the Kosovo police raided the National Employment Service in Kosovska Mitrovica today.

“Kurti’s police officers are currently raiding the National Employment Service in Kosovska Mitrovica, on which tens of thousands of users depend. Kurti wants to persecute the Serbian people and incite conflict! EU officials, where are you and what are you doing at all!” Petković stated on the X network.

Protest of Parents and Children

More than a hundred parents and children gathered today in front of the sports hall in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, protesting against the violent raid by the Kosovo Police on this facility.

The police closed the facility, preventing young Serbs from training in local sports clubs.

The gathered demanded an end to the repression by the Pristina authorities and that they be allowed to engage in sports.

Kosovo police officers and special police were deployed in front of the hall, and members of EULEX and the OSCE observed the gathering.
