Until Sunday, April 12, the appearance of ground frost is expected, with temperatures locally dropping to as low as minus five degrees, which could disrupt the plans of many citizens.
The RHMZ particularly warns farmers that such conditions could seriously threaten early crops and vegetable cultures in the open. The greatest risk is in orchards, where frost can damage newly formed fruits and blooming branches. However, after the cold mornings, a gradual rise in temperature is expected during the Easter weekend, with alternating sunny and cloudy intervals.
According to the weather forecast, the first day of the weekend will be marked by a cold morning with light ground frost, while during the day the weather will be changeable, with plenty of clouds and occasional light rain, and snow flurries in the mountains. As the day progresses, gradual clearing is expected. The wind will be light to moderate, northwesterly, with morning temperatures from 2 to 7 degrees and daytime temperatures reaching between 14 and 17.
Turnaround in the middle of the month: Rain, cooling, then the return of real spring
On Sunday, on the holiday itself, the morning will still be fresh and sensitive due to frost, but the rest of the day will bring more pleasant and warmer weather, suitable for being outdoors. Already on the second day of Easter, a new cloud cover arrives, with the possibility of light rain in hilly and mountainous regions and increased wind in certain parts of the country, especially in Banat and Podunavlje, while temperatures will remain within moderate spring limits.
In the middle of the month, a new change follows – the weather will become more unstable, with alternating dry and rainy periods. In the north, it will remain mostly dry, while in other regions, showers accompanied by thunder are expected. The wind will remain strong in some regions, and temperatures will drop slightly.
Entering the second half of April will bring even more precipitation and temperatures somewhat lower than the average for this time of year. Rain will be frequent, occasionally accompanied by showers and thunder, so a wetter and cooler period than usual is expected.
However, towards the end of the month, the weather will stabilize. Temperatures will rise above average again, precipitation will be less frequent, and the end of April and the beginning of May will be marked by true spring, almost summer-like weather, ideal for spending time in nature.
