TEENAGER CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER: Minor (16) arrested for the shooting in Borča, fired two shots at a young man!

Members of the police from Palilula, through a fast and efficient action, identified and arrested the perpetrator of last night’s shooting in Borča.

To the surprise of investigators, it is a sixteen-year-old, while the wounded young man is in the hospital with serious injuries.

The drama that disturbed the residents of Borča last night received its epilogue with the arrest of the suspect, as well as the revelation of the identity of a victim with a serious criminal past. The wounded young man, Marinko K. (19), who is already well known to the police, was kept for treatment at KBC Zvezdara after his life was saved by the quick reaction of doctors.

Two gunshot wounds and surgery

Marinko K. was initially brought by private vehicle to the Borča Health Center, where doctors stabilized his vital functions. Due to the severity of the injuries, he was urgently transported to KBC Zvezdara.

Severe physical injuries in the form of two gunshot wounds were confirmed.

After a surgical intervention, the young man was kept for further hospital treatment and his condition is under constant supervision.

Narcotics and thefts

Although the wounded young man tried to remain vague in his first statement to the police, operational data indicates that Marinko K. is a person with a “thick” police record. He was previously registered for multiple criminal offenses, including – multiple property crimes and operational knowledge of narcotics trafficking.

The attacker is only 16 years old!

A major turn in the investigation occurred when the Palilula police identified and deprived the suspect for this attack of his liberty. At issue is the minor B. Š. (born in 2009).

The police are currently verifying Marinko’s initial version of the story – that the attacker violently broke into his house – or if it was a scheduled meeting that went wrong. A criminal complaint for Attempted Murder was filed against the minor B. Š., and the Further Public Prosecutor’s Office for Minors took over the investigation.

Given that it involves a minor perpetrator and a victim with a record, the investigation will move in the direction of determining the motive – whether it was a neighborly quarrel that escalated or a confrontation related to the earlier “business” of the wounded young man.
