Students from several faculties of the University of Belgrade have occupied the Rectorate building and begun a blockade that, according to the announcement, should last until midnight.
Students of the University of Belgrade joined the “Stop, Serbia” action today. After holding a 15-minute silence on the student square for the 15 victims of the tragedy in Novi Sad, they entered the Rectorate building at 12:08 and began a 12-hour blockade.
As reported by N1, it is not known who initiated the blockade, nor what the exact demands are. The idea, as we were unofficially told, came from the Faculty of Philosophy, but students from the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Faculty of Philology, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and others are also present at the blockade.

One of the students, before entering the Rectorate, took a megaphone and said: “We will not allow the police or thugs to beat us.” Therefore, it is assumed that the blockade was organized in solidarity with the beaten students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU).
Upon entering the Rectorate building, the students asked the news crews to leave the building and said that after a meeting at 3 pm, someone might address the public.
