Students from Novi Pazar, who embarked on the longest student protest march of 340 kilometers, completed the first stage of their journey as they arrived in Raška this evening. Under the slogan “16 days for 16 victims,” the students will walk across Serbia to reach Novi Sad on November 1, for the commemoration of the anniversary of the canopy collapse.
As reported by N1, the students want to draw attention to the solidarity that is necessary in these moments, but also to the fact that, as they say, they are currently dealing with a corrupt regime in this country.

They said they plan to walk 20 kilometers per day, and the core of the group will consist of students from Novi Pazar. Those who wish to join in other cities, they said, are welcome, but they plan to reach Novi Sad as one unified group.
Today, the students were seen off by citizens gathered in Novi Pazar, and some even walked with them all the way to Raška.
They did not have a police escort the entire time — the police accompanied them only until the exit from Novi Pazar, but were no longer present on the main road.
