Students currently in blockade have published on their official Instagram account a detailed plan for their walk to Novi Sad, under the name “Steps of Memory.”
They will begin their journey from Čačak on October 25 in order to attend the commemoration of the anniversary of the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station, which occurred on November 1 last year.
In addition to students, high school seniors and local citizens who have already announced that they will join them, as well as their peers and colleagues from other cities and municipalities across Serbia, will also take part in the walk.
They will go on foot to Novi Sad following the route Čačak, Požega, Kosjerić, Valjevo, Koceljeva, Šabac, where students and citizens from Bogatić and Ruma will join them, followed by citizens from Sremska Mitrovica, and then they will all arrive together in Novi Sad.
“We ask our citizens who would like to join us to do so only if they are in full physical condition, so that our first aid colleagues do not have too many interventions during the walk,” the students emphasized.
“This is not just a walk, this is a symbol of strength born from pain, growing from unity, and never disappearing! We invite all citizens to join us on November 1 in Novi Sad. Let’s show together that there is still strength within us! To remember – that’s why we walk!” declared the students from the blocked Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak.
