The Serbian team from the Mathematical Gymnasium achieved an excellent result at the Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad – Nina Šušić won first prize, second prize went to Novak Despotović and Marko Trajković, and third to Vladimir Branković.

The Olympiad was held from March 14 to 19 in Maykop (Russia), with the participation of 158 students from 15 countries. The competition was held in a mixed format – live and online. Competitors solved problems for two days, each student received four problems and had four hours to give the correct answer. Each problem carried a maximum of seven points.

-We especially highlight the success of Nina Šušić who, in addition to being a first-year high school student, shares the absolute second place on the ranking list of the senior (i.e., the oldest, intended for high school graduates) league with two other competitors, while only one participant (from Kyrgyzstan) managed to fully solve all the problems. – they state in the Mathematical Gymnasium.

The team leader was Vladimir Šarić, mathematics teacher at the Mathematical Gymnasium and Chief Learning Officer at Constructor Talent School.

The Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad has been organized since 2015. Throughout all the years of its existence, a total of 1,339 students from 22 countries around the world have participated.
