Students on blockade and citizens have been blocking the buildings of Radio Television of Serbia for the sixth day, both on Takovska Street and in Košutnjak. Due to the blockade and the prevention of employees from entering their workplaces, the public broadcaster is airing a modified program schedule.
Both the main and side entrances to RTS are blocked.
This morning, the public broadcaster once again did not air its morning program. Last night, the evening news began 10 minutes later than usual, at 19:40 instead of 19:30, and was broadcast in a shortened format and without a presenter, as was the case on previous evenings.
The streets around RTS are blocked to traffic – Takovska Street from Kneza Miloša to Svetogorska, part of Ilije Garašanina Street, Ulica majora Tepića, as well as Aberdareva Street.

Traffic is also halted on Kneza Višeslava Street in Košutnjak.
Among the participants in this morning’s blockade in front of the RTS building on Takovska are also students from Novi Pazar and a group of bikers.
They are making noise with whistles, vuvuzelas, and chants.
Due to the blockade, the public broadcaster has filed a complaint with the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade against unknown persons and has requested a response from international institutions.
At the beginning of the blockade on April 14, the students declared that the blockade would last “until a new competition for members of the REM Council is announced or until RTS is shut down.”
