Members of the so-called Kosovo police today raided and closed the premises of the Provisional Municipality of Srbica, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced. As stated, four plainclothes policemen sealed the premises of this Serbian institution and evicted the workers they found there, explaining that they were engaged in “illegal and unconstitutional activities.”
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija emphasizes that such a move is in direct contradiction with all agreements and achievements of the dialogue and shows that the only thing that the prime minister of the provisional Pristina institutions, Albin Kurti, knows how to do is to conduct a policy of closures, blockades, and shutdowns.
It is noted that this is the tenth Provisional Body that the authorities in Pristina have arbitrarily and unlawfully closed, after closing the Provisional Bodies in Štrpce, Klinë, Istok, Goraždevac, Gora, Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavić, Zvečan, and Zubin Potok.

“This continues the institutional and political repression against the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, under the direction of Albin Kurti who wants to leave the Serbs without basic means of subsistence and thus force them to leave their centuries-old hearths. The politicians in Pristina are not satisfied with the fact that Srbica, during the pogroms and conflicts, has already been de-Serbized and ethnically cleansed, but now they also want to erase everything Serbian that has to do with this municipality and the Serbian name in this way”, the statement said.
The institutions whose closure Albin Kurti orders and implements in the sight of the international community are the basis for the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities, and by closing them, Kurti is unequivocally stating that he has no intention of ever forming the CSM and fulfilling his obligations arising from the Brussels Agreement, the Office stated.
“However, he is mistaken if he thinks that Belgrade will ever give up on the demand for the formation of the CSM and that he will be able to escape from his assumed obligations or that Belgrade will ever leave its people without the help and entitlements that it pays them and will continue to pay them”, the statement reads.
