Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said today that it is time for everyone to respect the decision of the people of Republika Srpska who chose Milorad Dodik as their president.
“There is no place for a legal witch hunt in a democracy,” Orbán said on the X platform.
Orbán reacted to the decision of the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which earlier today confirmed the first-instance verdicts against Dodik and the acting director of the “Official Gazette” Miloš Lukić for disrespecting the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
Dodik was sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity by a first-instance verdict for disrespecting Christian Schmidt’s decisions.
