Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the leaders of foreign countries who came to Moscow for the Victory Day celebration despite threats, blackmail, and obstacles, and emphasized that these foreign officials are true leaders in character and conviction and have shown exceptional courage. Moscow appreciates their courage and understands the pressure they faced because of that decision, Putin stressed in a media address.

He also referred to the visits of the leaders of Serbia, Republika Srpska, and Slovakia, Aleksandar Vučić, Milorad Dodik, and Robert Fico, saying that they showed exceptional courage in the light of all the blackmail not to attend the events in Moscow. Putin called the widespread participation of foreign leaders in the celebrations in Moscow an inspiring sign of consolidation around the values of a common victory, RIA Novosti reports.
