Miša Bačulov was questioned at the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade after being arrested for allegedly coordinating violence in front of the National Assembly on the evening of November 2, 2025, while hospitalized at the Clinical Center of Serbia (KCS), using the official mobile phone of KCS employees, according to the prosecutor’s office.
The suspect, Bačulov, denied committing the criminal offense he is charged with – preparation of an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia.
This case has been joined with another in which Bačulov is accused of, together with D.C. and at least one other unidentified person, planning and coordinating actions from October 28 to 30 that would create conditions for the direct commission of the criminal offense of Attack on the Constitutional Order, or the offense of Preparation of an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia.
Regime-aligned media previously reported that Bačulov was allegedly suspected of attempting to fake his own poisoning and intended to accuse the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the country’s leadership of an alleged assassination attempt. They also published a video showing a conversation between Bačulov and another person discussing the planning of the alleged poisoning attempt.
The person with whom Bačulov spoke, as revealed by BIRN, is Darko Cvetković – the owner of a company whose account is blocked and who previously worked in private hospitals partnered with Ana Brnabić.
After the questioning, the prosecutor’s office reportedly submitted a unified proposal to the judge for preliminary proceedings at the Higher Court in Belgrade, requesting detention for Bačulov to prevent the repetition of a criminal offense in a short period of time.
