Police in Vrnjačka Banja last night arrested a man suspected of damaging the display window of the Serbian Progressive Party premises in that town with gunshots. The suspect, upon the arrival of the police, fired several projectiles in their direction, and no one was injured, the Ministry of Interior announced.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vrnjačka Banja Police Station, with a quick and efficient intervention, arrested I. M. (1989) from Vrnjačka Banja, who is suspected of having fired several shots from a firearm and damaged the display window of the Serbian Progressive Party premises tonight, around 9:45 PM, in Beogradska Street in this town, the Ministry of Interior announced.
According to the statement, upon receiving a report from citizens, the police immediately arrived at the scene where they found the suspect, who, upon the arrival of the police, fired several projectiles in their direction, with no one being injured.
“In order to stop and subdue the attacker, a police officer, as a warning, fired several projectiles into the air from his service pistol, after which police officers physically subdued and arrested I. M.,” the statement emphasizes.
It is stated that the police continue to work on determining all circumstances of this case.
