Nina Kovačević, a Pink producer who hit a girl with her car in June of last year, was today primordially sentenced to two years and 10 months in prison, CINS learns. She was also issued a security measure – a five-year ban on driving a motor vehicle.
At the sentencing, the judge stated that the court considered that Nina Kovačević had not been previously convicted of a crime and that she is a mother of three children, CINS reported.
On the other hand, an aggravating circumstance was that Kovačević was driving in the yellow lane, at a speed higher than allowed, and in a state of very severe intoxication.
Additionally, the court also took into account that the fifteen-year-old girl she hit with her car on that occasion sustained severe, life-threatening injuries.
Finally, the judge also pointed out that Kovačević has 11 prior convictions related to traffic offenses, most often for speeding, which was also the case in this accident. One of these convictions was handed down just a month before this criminal offense, when she was issued a driving ban and four penalty points.
According to the judge, Kovačević had essentially met the conditions for her driver’s license to be revoked, and aware of this, she showed a Hungarian driver’s license to the police during this traffic accident.
With this verdict, Nina Kovačević’s house arrest measure has been lifted.
