The Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium as of today has a new acting principal. Ognjen Mrvaljević, a physical education teacher, has been appointed to this position after the mandate of the previous principal, Danka Nešović, expired.
Today’s meeting at the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium was attended by staff members, including teachers who had been suspended by Danka Nešović.
The meeting was held for the first time with the new acting principal, Ognjen Mrvaljević, who, as we have learned, had been part of this faculty even before Nešović arrived at the school.
“Teacher Mrvaljević has long been part of the staff, but as the teachers told us, he is not particularly close with any colleagues and keeps to himself. What is most important now is that he cooperates with teachers and parents and returns all suspended staff to work,” Nemanja Milošević, president of the Parents’ Council of the school’s students, told Nova.rs.
We recall that Danka Nešović’s mandate as acting principal expired yesterday, and Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stanković announced the appointment of a new principal. During her last working day at the school, specifically in her role as head of the institution, Nešović suspended as many as six teachers, bringing the total number to 11 since September of last year.
