At the recently held Junior Mental Calculation World Championship in Bielefeld, Germany, which gathered the brightest competitors from all over the world, a competitor from Serbia, the talented Andrej Živanović, particularly stood out, winning first place and a gold medal in the junior category, thereby continuing the winning tradition on the international stage.
Andrej performed in Bielefeld for the third time and became a real star and veteran whose name commands respect among the organizers and other competitors. He has already won first and second places in his age category at previous championships.
These results are not accidental; they are the fruit of many years of diligent work, practice, and exceptional dedication. His previous winning of the world champion title at this prestigious competition speaks volumes about his skill in fast calculation and exceptional concentration.

THE BEST AMONG CHILDREN FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD: Andrej Živanović (13)
The Junior Mental Calculation World Championship is held every year as a top event that gathers the most talented children from all over the world, whose calculation abilities are faster than the calculator itself.
This is not an ordinary math competition, but a challenge that requires the highest mental power, in which participants, usually aged 5 to 15, compete for the title of the best living mental calculator on the planet. This year, too, the participants competed in disciplines that require extraordinary mental agility: rapid calculation of long sequences of numbers, complex multiplication and division, but also many other problem tasks such as calculating the cubic root and square, the factor of a number, or calculating the calendar…

It is known that behind every successful competitor stands the support of the family and an expert educator. Andrej honed his skills at the “Malac Genijalac” school, with teacher Jelena Ignjatović.
By the way, this school is known for its systematic approach to teaching intellectual skills, holding international knowledge Olympiads, and preparing students for the highest-level competitions.
This year, Andrej is not the only representative from our country. Todor Damnjanović from Obrenovac also joined the team, showing that Serbia has become a hotbed of talent in this area.

Their participation and successes are proof that the boundaries of top achievement are attainable, and that world-class results can be achieved through hard work and dedication.
That is why these young people have become not only champions of knowledge but also true ambassadors of their country in the world.
