The Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) has sent an official request for a new postponement of sanctions to the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Department of the Treasury (OFAC), the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) reported today.
NIS sent the new request to the US Department of the Treasury for a postponement of sanctions because the last one-month extension expires on August 27.
So far, the American administration has extended its operating license five times.
NIS was put on the sanctions list due to the majority Russian stake, so the company already in March asked Washington with a special request to be removed from that list.
