Dijana Hrka, the mother of the young man Stefan Hrka who died in the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station, spoke out regarding the claims by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, that he called her on the phone and that they spoke.
“I spoke to him, but I don’t want to comment on anything else. My focus right now is on the firecracker blast since this morning, while I was sleeping,” Hrka stated for our portal.
Hrka spoke out on Instagram this morning, writing that a firecracker was thrown in Ćacilend. She also published a photo showing the entrance to Pioneer Park near the Assembly, fenced off, behind which smoke can be seen.
Along with the photo, Dijana wrote:
“The firecracker was thrown at 20 minutes to 7 this morning.”
We remind you that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, spoke out on his Instagram profile this morning with a video message, and, as he claims, he spoke on the phone with Dijana Hrka, who is on strike near Ćacilend. He stated that he “asked Hrka to end her hunger strike.”
“I spoke on the phone with Dijana Hrka and Uglješa Mrdić this morning. I asked them to end their hunger strike, and I invited Ms. Hrka to the presidency for a meeting. All good people in Serbia are worried about their health, and I pray and hope that they will decide to end the strike,” Vučić said.
Dijana Hrka started her hunger strike on November 2, the day after the anniversary of the canopy collapse and the commemorative gathering in Novi Sad.
Hrka is demanding the prosecution of those responsible for the Novi Sad tragedy, the release of all detained students, and the calling of snap parliamentary elections.
