The famous English journalist Piers Morgan and the greatest tennis player of all time Novak Đoković have a past full of disagreements behind them, but it seems that the hatchet is finally buried. A few days ago, the Serb gave an interview to the aforementioned host, which should be released on Tuesday.
Podcast host Piers Morgan spoke with Novak in Riyadh, where a tennis exhibition called “Six Kings Slam,” in which Đoković participated, was recently organized. Before the Serbian tennis player, Morgan’s guest was Cristiano Ronaldo, and the episode with Novak is coming out this week.
“I’ll start by apologizing,” the voice of Piers Morgan is heard, looking toward Novak Đoković.
This is followed by footage of Novak’s arrest and deportation from Australia, along with the influential journalist’s exaggerated and excessive reactions, both on social networks and in public appearances.
“What you said, it says a lot about the kind of person you are. I’m just saying I’m not like that,” the Serb replied to him at one point.
There is no doubt what the Englishman apologized for to his new VIP guest on his show, after the episode with Cristiano Ronaldo (who also mentioned Đoković) was just broadcast. Then, from the first “teaser” for the new sports “blockbuster” (which will premiere tomorrow, on Tuesday), we got hints of everything that was discussed…
Question: “Does a part of you think in the style of I’m not sure I can compete against these guys at this level anymore?”
Answer: “Yes, I have more doubts than before whether I can win Grand Slams, especially against these two.”
Novak also spoke about the moments when he considered giving up…
“I just stared at the wall for 20 or 30 minutes. And that was the first time I felt completely empty. I just wanted to regain the love and passion for this sport, because I had lost it.”
Question: “Sinner, does the shadow over him from the drug thing still hang?”
Answer: “That shadow will follow him, just as the shadow of COVID will follow me.”
He added… “You should ask him,” to which Morgan replied: “I only interview GOATs.”
