Students in blockade announced on social media that five high school students were arrested tonight during road blockades, and the number of detainees is increasing by the hour.
N1’s reporter unofficially learns that citizens were arrested at two locations: near the Faculty of Law and in Njegoševa Street. Many young people are involved, and we have received information that minors are among those detained.
The son of actor Goran Šušljik is among the detainees.
“If by chance your child doesn’t answer the phone tonight, it’s possible they’re in one of the police stations in Belgrade or the country. Such is the time, there will be more of this, I don’t even know what happened, the child was at the blockade. His phone disappeared somewhere during the arrest and detention, by chance we found out and saw it on video,” he said.
He says they don’t know what will happen.
“We’ll see what happens, they said they would be brought before a misdemeanor judge, nothing is certain here. It’s an unusual absurdity in this country to receive misdemeanor charges, even criminal ones, given what’s really happening,” he said.
He states he doesn’t know if all those detained are minors and adds that he thinks there are about six or seven of them.
