Croatian President Zoran Milanović said that the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is being targeted for removal from political life because “he did not obey the order of the colonial administrator.”
“Dodik is the most popular politician among Serbs in BiH, you will only strengthen him if you intended to thwart him,” Milanović told reporters ahead of the verdict against Dodik, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) reported. He added that this is “that European way which is totally wrong.”
“He is not even violent in the right way. If you are already a bully, be a bully. This is some meddling, scheming, an attempt to remove the democratically elected representative of the Serbian people from political life because he did not obey the order of the colonial administrator, a long-retired German politician. What century do we live in,” Milanović said.

Milanović assessed that Serbs will not be intimidated by this, but will be revolted. He emphasized that he is not defending Dodik, but that this could happen to Croats tomorrow as well, and added that Croatia only wants equal rights for Croats in BiH, that Croats elect their own representatives in the BiH Presidency.
“And the Serbs? They will not secede from BiH so easily. But in this way, they are being helped,” the Croatian president assessed. He stressed that a common language should be found with the Serbs.
“We must look to find an attempt at a common language and agreement with the Serbs, who all the time behave as if their skin is tight, as if they would spread somewhere, and they cannot. Not in such a way as to wrap someone else in black, which the ominous birds from Sarajevo constantly repeat. That we want to tear BiH apart – we will not, you are not interesting to us,” Milanović added.
