Legendary American tennis player John McEnroe offered his prediction for the Wimbledon semifinals.

McEnroe gave special attention to the match between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner, with Sinner currently holding a 5-4 lead in their head-to-head record. However, the Italian has won their last four encounters, but the American believes Novak has a slightly greater chance on the Wimbledon grass.

“There’s a degree of uncertainty about Novak’s body, especially his stomach. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I’ve never seen a player put ice on their stomach during a match before,” McEnroe said.

“He believes he has the best chances here, so it’s possible he’s putting extra pressure on himself because he wants to break all records and reach his 25th Grand Slam. He knows himself that he doesn’t have many more chances to win major tournaments. He’s had a good draw so far, but Sinner beat him in Paris and has started beating him often. However, it would seem that this is Sinner’s least favorite surface, and it’s Novak’s best, so it’s a question of what will happen. Novak has a slightly greater chance,” the American believes.
