The derby match of Group K of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers between the football players of Serbia and England at the “Rajko Mitić” stadium will begin with a minute of silence in memory of the legendary Den Tana.
Dobrivoje Tansijević, as his real name was, was a long-time official of the Football Association of Serbia, president of Red Star, and also the head of England’s Brentford.
Precisely because of this, the heads of the two associations requested from UEFA that a tribute be paid to Den Tana ahead of tonight’s match at “Marakana,” which the “European house of football” allowed.
There will be a minute silence before the game tonight for Dobrivoje Tanasijević, better known as Dan Tana.

Dan was the former Brentford FC chairman, Serbian FA official and Red Star Belgrade board member.
Dan passed away in August.
As a reminder, Den Tana passed away in the middle of last month at the age of 90, after a battle with a serious illness, and he was buried at the New Cemetery in Belgrade.
The match between Serbia and England is scheduled for 8:45 PM, with a live broadcast on the TV Arena 1 Premium channel.
