In Kosjerić today, seven people were arrested who participated in last night’s protest in that town. According to the first videos of the detainees on social media, Lazar Erčević is among them. He was also arrested in June, just six hours before his high school prom.

Lawyer Radovan Novaković published a video this afternoon titled “Heroes from Kosjerić,” which shows police officers leading Lazar Erčević away in handcuffs.

Social media users noticed Erčević’s smile and proud stance as police led him away.

The Events of His Previous Arrest

As a reminder, Lazar Erčević from Kosjerić was arrested in early June while he, a final-year student at “Sveti Sava” High School in Požega, was getting ready for his prom. He was detained just six hours before the start of the graduation celebration.

That same evening, the graduates of that high school, dressed in formal suits and dresses, went in front of the courthouse in Užice instead of to the celebration, to show support for their arrested friend.

Although he had been ordered to be detained for 48 hours, he was released before that term.

Afterward, residents of Požega and nearby towns organized a new graduation celebration for Lazar and his classmates.
