All roads in Serbia are passable and there is no snow on them, according to the report of the Winter Service Headquarters issued by the public company Roads of Serbia. Drivers are especially urged to be cautious near Zaječar, where a major landslide has reportedly occurred.
Frequent small landslides are possible in the area around Zaječar along unstable rocky slopes in gorges, cuttings and embankments. The largest number has been recorded on road I B-34 (the Đerdap Gorge) and on road II A-221 on the section Knjaževac – Kalna (the Korenatac Gorge).
Due to the forecast of low temperatures in the morning and evening hours, there is a possibility of patchy ice forming, especially on sections that run along river flows, valleys, gorges, as well as on road structures.
Restrictions for trucks with trailers and semi-trailers are in force on the following routes: I B-21 Podbukovi – Kosjerić – Požega and II B-397 Slatina – Štubik.
Landslides have been recorded on the following road sections: I B-21 Divljaka – Ivanjica, I B-21 Ivanjica – Javor, I B-30 Buk – Radočelo, II A-180 Vučkovica – Ivanjica, II A-194 Prilike – Katići – Jasenovo, II A-197 Buk – Međurečje – Kumanica, II A-197 Gornji Dubac – Luke – Ivanjica, II A-197 Kumanica – Preko Brdo – Duga Poljana, II A-198 Odvraćenica – Preko Brdo and II B-409 Kumanica – Gleđica.
Fog may also occur on the roads, particularly on sections running along river flows, valleys and gorges, as well as on bridges and other road structures over rivers.
Access roads to winter tourist centers remain passable.
Roads of Serbia advises drivers not to set out without winter equipment and snow chains, and if they decide to travel, they should drive very carefully and cautiously.
The company also appeals to drivers to adjust their speed to road conditions and exercise maximum caution while driving.
