Nikola Kalinić, the legendary basketball player of the Serbian national team and Crvena zvezda, who returned to Belgrade last season after two years abroad, is once again the target of insults and hate speech.
At the very entrance to the building where Kalinić lives, “students” wrote graffiti on which the Crvena zvezda basketball player is characterized as an „ustasha“.
We remind you, Kalinić has on several occasions supported student protests. Thus, he was among the people who went out on March 15 to express dissatisfaction with the regime led by Vučić.
A shameful act towards a man who until recently played for the Serbian national team, with which he won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, as well as two years earlier at the World Cup in Spain.
What is noticeable is the lack of elementary literacy among the author, given that he not only mixed up capital and small letters, but also Cyrillic and Latin alphabets.
It remains to be seen whether Crvena zvezda will make an announcement on this matter and stand by its basketball player and one of the fan favorites.
