The Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina (GP BiH), under the order of its director Mirko Kuprešaković, is conducting an investigation into how the President of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, crossed the state border, given that a central arrest warrant has been issued for him in BiH on suspicion of undermining the constitutional order of the country.
GP BiH announced that it is taking all necessary measures to determine the circumstances and manner in which Dodik crossed the BiH-Serbia border yesterday.
The Border Police will report its findings to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and cooperate with all law enforcement agencies, according to the statement.
Yesterday, Dodik traveled from Banja Luka to Belgrade, where he attended a ceremony in Batajnica marking the anniversary of NATO’s bombing of Serbia.
This marks his first publicly documented departure from BiH since the central arrest warrant was issued.
The Sarajevo-based portal Klix.ba reported that this morning, a Republika Srpska government aircraft landed at Belgrade Airport.

It is speculated that Dodik will use this aircraft to travel to Israel for the Conference on Combating Antisemitism, scheduled to take place in Jerusalem on March 26-27.
Yesterday, at a press conference in Banja Luka, Dodik announced a “diplomatic offensive” by the RS political leadership, including meetings with global leaders to explain the political moves of RS, which have triggered the biggest crisis in BiH since the signing of the Dayton Agreement.
The RS authorities have enacted a series of laws that prohibit the operation of state and judicial institutions of BiH within the territory of the entity.
