Nikola Jokić was taken to what is called a film room. It is usually used in preparation for matches, and there the coach and his staff scout opponents and solve some tactical nuances. This time the purpose was different.
The Serbian center sat down with Kate Fagan and explained how he reads opposing players.
He explained that he does it in real time, i.e. simultaneously while attacking the players. Even the host was surprised because it shows that Jokić’s basketball IQ is at an incredible level.
When they showed him one action, he said he knew how he would fool the opponent: “I knew he would fall for the fake shot, he’s young.”
It was just one of a series of basketball tricks he sold to his opponents.
